The only other TB member I can recall who has been on TV is MakiSupaStar. I was on TV recently, also in California, and I despise the backroom wranglings of High-Speed rail and Clipper Card Chareletons...'
But in fact, I was on TV myself this month, talking about Caltrain and daily commuting without owning a car. http://www.ktvu.com/news/26868162/detail.html
So imagine yourself on TV. Would any cause for which you stand and live have any voice in this day in age? Speak.

I've been on tv several times as well doing stuff for the History and Discovery channels. It was more as an extra in historical settings and whatnot so it wasn't a situation where I was being interviewed or asked an opinion.
In regards to your last question - I think that the Internet has overtaken TV as "the voice for which you stand and live". Look at what's going on in the Middle East. Apparently most of what you see over there was organized via social sites and such, with the local television in those areas just pumping out pro-gov't trash.

That's the only thing I can come up with that is somehow linked to what the OP might have been on about.

I woke up on saturday and I still talked like anonymous people were listening to me.

My 15 secs. of fame was on a local kid's television program in the early 60's. I was asked, "What do you want to be when you grow up?"
My response, "A Lumberjack."

Unfortunately, they showed up to do the interview at 6:30 am and I was still half asleep and rambling. I'm on the cutting room floor and was never aired, but my colleagues were.
