Went to another movie tonight. This time with the wife, and two other couples. No kids.
This was a good movie. It is really long, so take your time with the popcorn and soda. It's not a fast paced movie, so you'll have chances to use the bathroom if you need to.
It's a love story at times, it's sad at times, it's one of those movies that makes you reflect on your own life at times, it tries to teach some life lessons at times, it also has some well placed humor sprinkled in. Overall, I enjoyed it.
Anyone else seen it yet?

He died of old age, just closed his eyes while she was holding him. She cared for him from about 12 years old until he died.

It's completely scattered, poorly paced, terribly acted, badly scripted, emotionally distant, and distractingly unfocussed. The only redeeming quality I could find was that the scenes in New Orleans made me homesick.
It's basically trying to be Forrest Gump, and failing miserably. Awful, awful film.
I give it a D. |
