Berklee Modern Guitar Method Volume 1

Anyone here learn to play guitar on this book or has any experience with it? I'm into it (about pg. 40?) and was wondering how long it took you (or ones you know) to finish it. I'm just curious because it looks like quite an expansive book (and there are two more volumes!).
I realize that some people pickup stuff faster than others but I'd like to hear guesstimates on how long it would take to finish as well.

Are you talking about A Modern Method For Guitar by William Leavitt? I got through the first half of Volume One over the course of maybe 6 or 8 months while a senior in high school, and finished up the second half during my first semester at Berklee. (This was before I realized the Error Of My Ways, stopped diddling with guitar, & dedicated myself to bass full time!)

I never bothered with Volumes Two or Three, but I did also get through most of Leavitt's Melodic Rhythms For Guitar that same semester.

dont worry about how long......worry about getting the most out of it.....if you can find mickey bakers book (its a good book) it says to spend as much time as needed to fully know each exercise in every key before moving to the next one
