Best Bass Sunglasses

So, I was looking through my meager, but versatile sunglasses collection, and I came up wondering what sunglasses, if any, were preferred by bassists.

My collection:

Tortoise shell Ray-Ban wayfarers

American Optical Original Pilot Sunglasses Gold (like Vietnam-era helicopter pilot aviators)

Tortoise shell Blublocker Aviators (the sunglasses worn by Alan in the Hangover)

Personally, I love my Blublockers, which leaves me to wonder, since they we're only $20, compared to the $100 Ray-Bans and the $75 AOs. Oh well. they do make for a nice fashion statement.

Anyways, playing bass or not, what do you guys wear in the sun?

No pics, no effeminate collection of accessories.

I used to wear tort Wayfarers and then after that a 5 dollar pair of fake tort Wayfarers............

I can never seem to hold on to a pair of shades so now I wear whatever they have at the .99 cent store.

+1. With that said I like DSO's and Dillans. Both are polarized (the only way to roll IMO. My Dillans have a non reflective mirror finish which gives you a nice spiderman appearance too. Chicks never know where you're looking.

Since most gigs are indoors and I enjoy the luxury of actually seeing things, I don't wear 'em indoors. I think it's one step of stage vanity too far...at least for me.

As John Wayne said in Big Jake when his partner exclaimed "You wear glasses?"

...."Only to SEE with!"

If some wiseacre who wanted to wear his sunglasses on stage tripped and fell off the stage, I'd laugh my ass off.

Yeah, I only buy polarized these days. Don't ever pay retail either.
