Best course for a UPS damage claim?

I sold a bass to a TB'er. He just sent me pics of a chipped headstock. Do I need to file or does he? Fortunately, it was insured!

The shipper files the claim is what I was told.

You file. Make sure that you also have pic's of the box & packing and tell the recipient that he has to hang onto all of it. If the recipient tosses that out - you have problems as you have ot prove that the item was packaged appropriately for shippment.
