BEST Job in the World

Sign in to disble this ad
Currently unemployed, my life needs direction. We have a thread devoted to the worst jobs in the world currently, I'm curious of the other end of things. I really think that I could NEVER find a job that I love, but I'm so non-worldy. I'm just generally curious, what would you think to be some of the best jobs in the world.

I'll go first:
Pro Musician

To quote Mark Knopfler:
Quote:
See the little ****** with the earring and the makeup
Yeah buddy thats his own hair
That little ****** got his own jet airplane
That little ****** hes a millionaire
It's easy to bash whatever band is popular, but a lot of that bashing comes from a deep seated jealousy. It's this guy's job to ROCK. If I had "the look" I'd work on being famous, but, I don't. So, I'll just play music that I want to play. But, sadly, it don't pay the bills.

Spoiled Whore

"Hi, it's my job to go to parties." That's pretty much it.

What are some other sweeeeeeeeeeeet jobs.

Mattress tester might be awesome.
Gigolo, boy toy, millionaire playboy...these are all things I would enjoy.

In all seriousness though; I think anything where I don't have to endure corporate stupidity and deal with brown nose bosses would be pretty damn satisfying.
Sadly though, I live in the real world and therefore I must deal with crap on a daily basis.

Should have used a more respected bassist up there. Just makes sense around here.

But I agree.

Mmmmm imagine the fine smörgåsbord of STDs .

I'd have to say Record Company Exec, music or fashion mogul, or being Richard Branson.

If I used a respected bassist, it wouldn't make sense. Aside from Paul McCartney and Sting, the "respected bassists" around here are nowhere near as rich as whatever the recent trend is.

I should be realistic though: It's the people in CHARGE of whatever the recent trend is making the real money. Fall out Boy (and/or whoever) make pennies compared to what the record companies/etc make. But that would be even better: To make a living playing music without having to sell your soul... but now I'm being unrealistic, aren't I?

Be a mechanic.

Or move to Maine and be a mechanic, all of them around here charge 80 bucks an hour and spend 2 days doing a 2 hour job.

Soundtrack producer - you watch a movie before it comes out and then make what is essentially a mixtape based on your viewing experience.

I think the best job in the world would either be a professional surf documenter where I get to travel the world surfing amazing waves. Either that or a producer of pron with sexy Asian chicks. I would definitely be a hands on type of producer that wouldn't be too proud to work as a fluffer for the chicks, just to make sure they're ready to go before we started filming.
