Where can you find it?
What kind of crust does it have?
What's on it?
What orgasmic experience would you compare it with? |

Deep dish, flaky crust built upside down with a sausage patty (not crumbled, it covers the entire bottom of the pie) on the bottom and the sauce on the top.
I may have to drive down there sometime soon!!

Beats any NYC pizza that I've had but I still have yet to visit DiFara's in Brooklyn or his daughters place Demarcos on Houston St. in Manhattan. You don't know what you are missing. |

I may have to drive down there sometime soon!! | I saw that place on the food network (or the travel channel?) and the whole tone of the show angered me. First of all, pizza should not be a fight, it is god's gift to the world, we shouldn't be pitting chicago against new york. second, I don't get the deep dish thing. Like, I understand why it's good, don't get me wrong, but to categorically claim (as the owner of Gino's East did) that it's somehow more authentic and better than NY pizza, is just plain crazy talk. There are places in manhattan that do a straight up napolitano pizza better than many places in Italy. More and more places are doing pizza by the meter, and foccaccia, etc. I don't think you can claim that a pizza designed by the purely american aesthetic of excess is more authentic. But that's just me. Just stating an opinion, I really don't want start a crips v. bloods thing.

Just stating an opinion, I really don't want start a crips v. bloods thing. | You know, the original Pizzeria owners in NY got upset when people started to cut the pies into wedges and sell it by the slice. I can't imagine trying to eat an old world "authentico" pizza that they don't cut into slices. How'd that work??
I don't know about the pizza wars other than the whole Chi-Town Big Apple thing. Kinda like the East coast West coast deal with the rappers.

Nothing too amazing...but it's hard to find a good pizza in Texas in general. The Tomato in Denton was amazing, but they tore that place down
