Best way to backup iTunes library

I think i need to backup my iTunes library incase something happens to my laptop.
But what is the best way to do so?

External drive, drag & drop the library file into a new location to duplicate it.
Or, alternately you can use iTunes to move it to a different location, but then it will want to reference that every time you use it.

I back up / archive my files to DVD. 7 gigs per disc.

If you have a DVD burner, iTunes has a feature to back up to disc.

I don't know if that's exactly what you're looking for, but it's neat if your comp blows up on you and you've an ipod with music on it.
