Best way to get from Boston (Logan Airport) to Bourne, MA?

Sign in to disble this ad
I may be moving to Bourne/Buzzards Bay, MA soon for a job at Otis ANGB with the USDA. I noticed the MBTA rail routes end before that area.

What's the best way to go from Logan Airport to Bourne, MA?

Does anyone in that area know links to local bus and/or light rail lines in the area.

Thanks!

I don't know if there are any bus lines that go out there. You may want to contact an airport shuttle service. There are vans that carry passengers to and from the airport. Check out the prices from Boston to Bourne and then compare prices from Providence to Bourne (you can always take the Amtrak out to Providence and then catch a shuttle.

I'll send an email to someone I know in the Bourne area and see what's available for transportation.

Many different Bus options to get you to Bourne

There are two bus options from Logan to get to the general area...will get you to Tedeschi's parking lot right next to the Bourne bridge
http://www.peterpanbus.com/

Also Logan Direct...will get you to the Sagamore bridge commuter terminal (about 5 miles away from the Bourne Bridge)
http://www.p-b.com/

You will have to take a taxi afterwards or have someone pick you up - there's no public transportation that I know of to bring you to Otis.

If you want a pre-paid car - it would run you about $150 from the airport - but will get you right to your destination. Here's something I just found (you are probably between Bourne and Falmouth if you're going into Otis). $138 seems like a pretty good price. You probably don't want a metered taxi - that will run you over $200 at least.

Rent a car. There's no public transportation in Mass outside of Boston. Bourne is already Cape Cod.

Thanks!

I checked out Peter Pan buslines and will probably go with them to Bourne for $24. Then I can take a cab to Otis, or get a ride from work.
