This year's thread...
So far, I've done all of 30 miles this year. Anyone else do a turned-out-to-be-crappy New Year's Day ride?

It was the next day that sucked: Fun group, very cooperative, but we started at 30° and by the tim we hit the 43 mile mark the temps had dropped almost 10 degrees. |

I've ridden once this year; the bike is in the shop for the free-w/a-new-bike tuneup & should be done Monday or Tuesday. I had a computer installed so I'll keep fairly accurate mileage this year.

So far I've done about 6 and a half hours indoors. This year.
My club is busy recruiting riders and just got a new clothing company, which is Biemme and probably sized a little differently than our LG kits from last year. The Bianchi 928 T-Cube is still just a frame. Not much happening with it at the moment. |

Got the call at work that it was broken... rode home...
Doc says no bike for a while.

Winter riding's not really feasible around here due to the sheer amounts of snow we get. I've also got my bike stripped and the fork sent off to Marzocchi for a rebuild and custom tune.
I'm going to buy another bike this spring, most likely a 5.5"-6" travel trail/AM bike with slack-ish geo. Pedaling the freeride bike up things is getting old (or maybe it's just me... ). I'd love to buy an Intense Tracer VP but I just can't afford it.

I hadn't considered that a lot of y'all live in snow country, rather than 'sunny' Cali, where at this very moment it's so foggy that I can barely see the school across the street. No lie - we get tule fog here in the valley this time of year, and it will get so thick that you cannot see more than about 30 yards or so.

But I may well have time to heal.
I ordered Schwalbe Marathon Winters from everybicycletire.com on 12/14. 4-10 day shipping... no sign of them yet and no answer @ cust. svc.

| | | | I've done all of 50 miles so far, but I hope to get another 50 miler in this afternoon. We have pretty good weather here in Texas if you dress reasonably, but it's difficult to get long rides in because of the short amount of daylight. |

I'd be riding right now but I'm actually cramming for a new(& rather demanding- for me)gig.
Edit: Yeah, I know- no pics no bike.
My wife is grabbing an external hard drive today & setting up our photo dealio. Soon- very soon...
