posted in the last place, but pissed enough to post twice. Took my TT bike out for perhaps a final spin of the year. Had some rough days at home and work, so was hoping this would make up for it. I was feeling absolutely great and having a ride when I flatted a tubular....again. Figures I'd flat. I was starting to have an amazing ride, perhaps better than anything I've done on at a race. Pop. Nope.

Yeah, it really hurts- I went back to bed(it happened at 5:30AM)& couldn't get the blankie up over me. I have to watch a friend's kid for most of the day & the wife is also tied up- I will be hitting the X-ray shop ASAP

Aside from the kiddie wheels, that's a great looking bike

Having never ridden on tubulars, I've always wondered: What exactly do you do when you get a flat on the road? Do folks carry a spare tire pre-glued (or, what is it, taped?) tucked under their seat that they can put on to continue riding?

Yes - the third tire is usually already glued and carefully folded (or you can use Tufo tape, but I'm not a fan of the stuff myself); you pull the holed tire off, roll the spare on, and go home while cornering carefully so as to not roll the spare back off.

spade, you need a set of clincher trainers.

Well, I skipped the Dr- it's improved enough that I don't wanna toss out $50 on silly medical attention.

I like rigids, full sus is for suspect performance, skill-wise,: ) Rigid is definitely more fun imo. Solid looking bike, Fisher I've read lot's about but have no 'on time' marker, I've never had the chance to ride one, cool ; )

There is a place for full susp in gravity/DH/AM racing. Those helmet cam videos give me vertigo most of the time so I'll probably never have the need of a full boinger. I never rode a full suspension XC bike that I liked so I'll stick to hardtails. I'm a bad climber as is(since I'm a big dude) so wagon wheeld hardtails are my bike of choice for XC.

I'm not a fan of full sus, but I've found it does correct a lot of mistakes : ) If I go home without anything broken, I'm cool with whatever, cut's I can handle, waiting for a bone to mend is a drag, I can't afford the recovery time.

My old back loves the full sus; I also have a fully-rigid single-speed & alternate between the two.
