I might surgically remove the ugly seat biz from the fixer-upper/lame horse.

Don't ask me how I know this. |

Tenacity
...or maybe just more stupidity. |

As a side note to this, the frame (an SLX Torelli) actually survived the experience. I was able to back the cup out and install an Italian cup just fine. I did use a BUNCH of blue Lock-Tite on it tho.

I was all set to buy the Felt 29er when my girlfriend convinced me to wait until after Christmas to see if I could find any better year-end deals. She did this to surprise me with a Specialized Stumpjumper FSR Comp. I wasn't wanting a full suspension, but I sure can't fault her for it! It's a few years old, but her neighbor has owned it since new and has taken great care of it. I'd give y'all some pics, but right now it's at a friend's house waiting for Saturday's ride. I'll try to get some pics then.

Despite having my bars level with my saddle, I'm having persistent tightness / soreness in my upper back and neck, as well as tingling / itching / numbness in my hands.
Anyone interested in a 56 cm Merckx SXM with Chorus, let me know.
Oh, and if I get a recumbent, do I have to grow a beard and wear Birkenstocks? | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
