A bit of a health scare

Well before I start I want to let everyone know I'm doing better now so don't worry.

I have been having weird pains latetly on the right side of my body originating under my rib cage the 1st time lasted maybe a hour or two with 2 asprin, the 2nd one lasted probaly two or three hours with three asprin the 3rd time around 12 am Friday night was excrusiaiting pain I consider myself a masochist but, this pain was intense it started happening as I said Friday at midnight but, by 3 am the pain was intolerable.

So I woke up my parents to let them know what's going on and my mom said I was going to the hospital now. So I drive to the emergency room do the pee in a cup thing, give 'em my Doctor's name, allergies, the meds I'm on, rate the pain on a scale of 10 (it was a 8 for those wondering). Next comes the blood test keep in mind my side is killing me and every step I take I feel like passing out.

Well they take my blood then they kep the needle in my and attach this apparatus to the needle in case they need to draw more blood or give me medicine which as a Straight Edge guy I have objections too but, sadly at this point I'd have given the guy a "hand" for him to make the pain go away. Anyways they wheel me into a room dope me up with morphine. Then they take me to get a Cat Scan. (Oh yeah if you think something is wrong with your appendix have somebody punch the bottom of your foot if you jump up in pain it's because your appendix is messed up it's called the "jump test".)

well after getting the Cat Scan they wheel me back into the room and my morphine wears off now the pain went from an 8 to a full blown 10. My mom said I grew paler than usual and I kept saying gibberish while making agonized faces. They decide to dope me up again with morphine this time I can feel it burning my veins as it's injected into my bloodstream.

At this point I ask if it's normal and before I can get an answer those S.O.B.'s double crossed me! Because I start to fall dead ass asleep. I wake up to my mom in the car and me in a wheelchair at the entrance. Then I jammed on some pancakes at Crackerbarrell.

When I got home I learned the cause of my weird pains is because of the combination of the meds I take I don't dispose of waste on a regular basis while some do IT everyday I do IT once a week at best.
All the pain is because my body is swelling to make room in my intestines to house all this waste and if I don't get rid of it I'll be getting a prostate of sorts a couple 2 decades early.

I comend anyone who've made it this far so I offer you a treat a free virtual high five.

Why don't straight edge people like taking medicine? Are you all more of the type to bite a bullet or piece of leather to endure pain?

Interested in this part, edge is no alcohol, tobacco or recreational drugs. It isn't recreational if you get it in a hospital in those circumstances!

@ MJ5150: I just told you I take meds but, morphine to me isn't meds it is classified as a pain medicine true but, also it's said to be easily addictive. I am always wary about any and all meds I take which no matter if your Straight Edge or not you should always be concerned about.

@ Mohawk: I'm confused are you intrested in Straight Edge or comenting on how Edge is?

The official diagnosis for your malady is FOS- Full Of S---. you should be "going" 2-3 times a day, not once a week. High fiber bread, cereal, and pasta. It's not good to keep all that waste inside you.

Well I hardly eat any kind of bread, or pasta.

I do eat High Fiber cereal, fiber pills and just recently stool softeners.

People are probaly shocked I'm even discussing this here but, obviously I don't have a shy bone in my virtual body.

Thanks for the clarification. I don't know much about the beliefs of your group, so it didn't make sense at first what you were saying. Yeah, we all have to be careful with some substances, and especially those individuals with tendencies to addictive behavior.

Son, you were in the ER in extreme pain. They were trying to make sure you didn't die.

I agree with being misguided on the whole drug front bit.

However, a belief is a belief. There's a lot of people who choose a belief over medical advice.

I go more if I forget my meds or have a bad day, but I have IBS.

Twice a day to once every two to three days is considered to be the normal range.
