In a bit of a quandary...

Well here's the story. The job I have gives us (3rd shift) the eve of a holiday off and I had told my mom that I would go up and visit her family tonight unless I can get tomorrow off (which was a good possibility). Well apparently she told them that I was only coming up tonight so everyone is getting together tonight and I have tomorrow off. It's snowing like a mother****** here and I've had no sleep yet I don't get to see everyone on that side of the family more than once a year. So should I A.) Stay home and risk having everyone be pissed off OR B.) Risk it and drive up today?

What did people do before the internet?

I'm sure it was once possible to make these sorts of decisions without the help of random strangers on internet forums. I mean, this may just be me, but I would ring my mother to tell her what the situation is first and see what the crack is.

I'd ask her opinion. A good mother would tell you to be safe and stay home.

My $0.02.
