"octopi" is another, and indeed, the one most of us learned as "correct" in school.

We found a playful octopus that was letting us pet it. At one point the octopus wrapped itself around my bicep and was just relaxing there. We had significant eye to eye contact and I swear it was just like looking into the eyes of my dog. It was really cool. I felt an intelligence there. |
