So to completely rip off baalroo. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blackadder
I had seen a few of the Black Adder Goes Forth (WWI) series before on PBS, and I always found them amusing. I borrowed a copy of the complete series from a friend and found it so great that I had to get them for myself (friend moved out of town).
I think all the seasons are great and love the continuity and some of the preposterousness of the whole series. I think Beer, and Chains are my favorite episodes yet.
Anyone else love The Black Adder?

| | | Yeah blackadder's one of my favourite sitcoms It's very popular here in Britain. Most people recognise it as one of the great Britcoms, along with Fawlty Towers and Dad's Army, even if they don't like it. But most people do like it |

seasons 2 & 3 of Blackadder are to me, the best.
"I'm as poor as a church mouse, that's just had an enormous tax bill on the very day his wife ran off with another mouse, taking all the cheese..."
"You see the ancient Greeks, your Highness, wrote in legend of a terrible container in which all the evils of the world were trapped. How prophetic they were. All they got wrong was the name. They called it 'Pandora's Box', when of course they meant 'Baldrick's Trousers'..."
"She is famous for having the worst personality in Germany and, as you can imagine, that's up against some pretty stiff competition."

But it's only on PBS and randomly at that.I've recorded most of what's been shown. Good to see Hugh Laurie got regular work Though. The Victorian period one was my fave, although the WWI episodes were very good as well. |
