If you liked all those '70s "Blaxploitation" flicks like Shaft, Foxy Brown, The Mack and Superfly, you should definitely check this one out.

I don't believe I've ever seen another movie capture the '70s even half as well. (I seriously thought this one had been lost in the vaults until I looked it up on IMDB.)

Turns out the film editor also did most of the music. Recorded himself on drums, then played bass and a bunch of other parts. Now, that's amazing.

It's in my Netflix queue- definitely looks like my kind of movie. On the other side of the coin, the movie Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter, which is also supposed to be a subtle spoof of those exploitation films, was god-awful.

Looks interesting... might have to give it a watch. My favorite is still Dolemite, however.

i saw it about 2 weeks ago! im a huge fan of 70's blacksploitation movies and this is no exception for doing the era justice. its got everything. pimpin, fighting the man, 40 oz's, kung fu....honestly if anyone has ever seen the movie Pootie Tang, i think this is kind of in the same vein as that but more 70's with the zooming in and out camera angles and rediculous 70's flare
