1) My Blackberry is really a "business/work" device for me. Although it's the only mobile phone I have, I don't use it for play.
2) It really doesn't do browsing/Internet very well. For me, it is strictly an email and calendar tool.

I have used the TB website on my Blackberry browser before to check PMs when selling a bass. For those circumstances, I would much rather have a dedicated app for TB than to use the browser.

Right now I'm kinda stuck with a Windows Mobile device, but I'll be upgrading to an Android in a couple of months. I'm looking forward to the TB app for that. I just downloaded the iPhone/iPod Touch app on my iPod, and I'm impressed with it so far. |

The browsing on my BB really does sort of suck. I find it clumsy and slow. As I don't use an iPhone I am not sure what an app really does for you. Maybe if there was a huge advantage I would change my tune. Right now I just don't view my BB as a real great browser.

| | | | For me, a BlackBerry makes a great phone, calendar, and email tool. I would rather use a computer for any more demanding application--including web browsing. (I don't even like using a screen as small as 1024x768.) |

it'd make my job a hell of a lot easier because of rehearsals.
And I could finally beat that jerk Bryan to closing a thread when a post is reported |

Isn't putting a TalkBass app on a Blackberry like putting a GPS in a Model T? |

Granted, they're not the highest-tech, hottest phone, but they do their job very well, and they are very well integrated. I switched from a BlackBerry to a Windows Mobile, and I have an iPod Touch, so I've got a fair amount of experience with three of the four main smartphone OSs (I haven't dealt with Android much yet) and the BlackBerry system seems to me to be at least comparable to the others in functionality, and way above WinMo for user-friendliness. |

You've gotta take your shots at Mark when you can. |
