Blackjack tacobox is awesome!

Well I just finished taco bells new blackjack taco box, and I must say I'm impressed. For $5 you get the blackjack taco, a regular crunchy taco, a burrito supreme, cinnamon twists and a massive drink of your choice. I came home from school and was starving, and a friend of mine told me about it so I went out before I got home and picked it up.

It's such an awesome deal. The blackjack taco basically tastes like a regular taco except with sour cream and a few spices mixed in. It's really good IMO. I'm guessing this new deal is to compete with subway, and I think it blows subway out of the water. Subway gets old really fast and you don't get much for $5, but this has a lot of variety so I'm thoroughly surprised.

Its not sourcream, its pepperjack sauce. It can also be found on the new crispy potato soft tace, which is only $0.79 and quite tasty, not to mention, vegetarian.

Can you get it with bacon? Bacon would make it taste so much better.

I still rock the double decker taco like it's 1994. Volcano tacos are pretty sweet as well.

Crunch wrap supreme (sans sour cream) is also the jam.

What does the blackjack sauce taste like?

I tried a BlackJack taco the other day, and it was great.

The sauce that was in it was really good, but for some reason they loaded mine with lettuce, but no cheese. Is that normal?

I usually order a couple of tacos, a chicken quesodilla and some 7 layer nachos (minus the sour cream, because I can't stand putrid milk squeezed out of a caulking gun)

Does anyone else find the sentence " A large platter of crisp, freshly prepared tortilla chips..." a bit misleading?

That's the Taco Bell website's description of the Nachos BellGrande.

The Nachos Bell Grande definitely have a large platter of chips... the Nachos Supreme is the same thing only smaller. The triple layer nachos are a little smaller, but only 89cents.

I'd say it's the "freshly prepared" that is the misleading part.

+1, unless freshly prepared can mean sitting under a heat lamp all day.

Well the box is pretty old they usually always have it just change the items you get but good deal, for the amoun of food you get, however not for the quality.

By the way my tacobell says you can add bacon to anything for only .25cents

Not real big on eating food that's black. Black beans, that's about it.

Probably won't be trying that any time soon.

That being said, I do appreciate that fast food places are trying a little harder to give you some value for your money though. For awhile there things were really getting out of control on prices and then Subway did the $5.00 footlong thing and since then you can go to a lot of places and get filled up for that amount. Or even less (two of those $1 double cheesburgers at BK do me quite nicely).

Sorry, but anything small enough to fit through a tiny drive-thru window is not a platter.

We're talking fast food here bud, youve got to give a little. How large of a platter of nachos are you expecting for $2.95?

It is Baja Sauce. Or so I am told by the 4 friends I know who work at Taco Bell and make food. Not a new sauce. Same stuff they put on the Grilled Stuffed Burritos.
