We all know is misery loves company. Who else suffers from yearly allergies and sinuses, and what do you take as medication for them?

All I know is I feel like I've been hit by a truck, and I've drained just about all of my fluids out of me since yesterday afternoon

I went to see an ENT recently because my sinuses were so bad and I had trouble breathing out of my nose.

After a ct scan of my sinuses and a blood test for allergies, I apparently have a strongly deviated nasal septum and a severe allergy to dustmites.

I was told that it is not worth it to get any kind of surgery to correct the deviated septum, I guess it is not bad enough to be worth it?

Right now I am on a nasal spray called Patanase, and I take Claritin pretty regularly. Zyrtec also works wonders if I need it. Basically I just live with congestion and allergy symptoms all the time though, nothing helps enough.

I always have sinuses during the March/April/May period and I take antibiotics.

Mine have just started to kick in over the past month, and certain days it feels like ive been hit by a truck. I take Claratin D, but i would like something stronger. Also what i find helps sometimes is using a neti pot.

Allergies used to really set me back. I used to look forward to being able to use my nose again after it being clogged for weeks during spring and late summer allergy seasons. I was also prone to getting at least two sinus infections over summer. This year I began massage therapy school and discovered regular massage mixed with yoga and/or other stretching routines really killed my problem.

I recommend looking up 'The Five Rights' online and doing them for a week and seeing if you feel any better. It's a short routine that shouldn't take up more than 10-15 minutes of your time everyday, if that much. More importantly, its very much free.

I used to suffer big time from them,,and my eyes would puff up,,could barely see,,had to take antihistamines. I grew out of it. Many people grow out of it, so you may be lucky

55 here & have had allergies all my life. Had allergy shots while a teen but didn't help all that much, & eventually got worse reactions to the shots than to my normal allergies, so stopped the shots. Now take claratin or zyrtek once a day. Use a neti pot off & on when the sinuses get involved. My main complaint is that my voice is almost always so nasual I tend to sound a bit like Mickey Mouse, so I can't sing due to tone being so bad. Only time I'll sing is if the bar is closing & they're having problems getting the crowd to clear out...jk!
