I am soooo lucky to live here. You all have to visit this place at some time in your life.
Just another Saturday hike.....

Bliss State Park on the west shore of Lake Tahoe

Note snow covered peaks in backround.
Yes, the water is turquoise and clear

About 100 feet down to the canoe and water

I went to Tahoe a few years ago, right around Christmas. Did some skiing (badly, in my case) and snowmobiling, and took the tour boat on the lake. Man, that's beautiful country. Thanks for the pics.

Can't understand the people who camp out at the slot machines there instead of getting outside.

I've never been there, but it's high on my list of places to see before I leave the planet. Something about mountains just makes me feel happy...

I've done some backpacking in Desolation Wilderness on the west side of Tahoe. The trailhead was near Emerald Bay. Nice alpine lakes up there.

As a former bay area resident, I miss Tahoe summers and winters.

Just went through Tahoe in March on the yearly sojourn down to see Pops in LV.
Came up hwy 20 thru Grass Valley > 80 > 89 to Tahoe City > 28 around the north end > 50 down to 395 south

Just gorgeous and the place was nearly deserted!
Snowstorm at the rest area by Emigrant Pass.

I don't vacation here; I live here.

But you definitely can visit. Bring that greenburst Sadowsky M5! Should sound good into my SA full stack.
