Has anyone here ever blogged before? I recently started a blog as a way to get my thoughts down and sort everything out, and of course, rant.
Any tips for keeping yourself motivated and keeping it going? Tips for a successful blog?

I find my biggest obstacle is finding the time to do everything I want to do. As far as the blogging experience, I started out on blogger.com then moved to wordpress.com and created my own domain. A great site to check out is http://www.problogger.net/ there is lots of very useful info here. I believe one of the keys to success is being consistence with your blog, which I unfortunately struggle with. My blog is mostly about keeping myself motivated as well as share my experience my the TMBG course so I am not trying to make $$ doing it. I also like to write so it has been a win, win situation for me. I'd be happy to answer any specific questions you may have, to the best of my ability. Good luck to you! |

My buddy and I started a blog our senior year of college. Two guys eating everywhere possible in New Jersey and reviewing it.

As a result, I only make an average of about two posts per month. |

We had it up until last month when his employer used one of his posts as an example of what not to do with compnay time.

The thing to know right off the bat about blogging is this: Never in the history of mankind have so many said so much to so few. Even with great content, finding readers or people who care is tough.
Here are my blogs: The Song Garage Funk Bucket
If you approach it just as a fun and creative activity for yourself you'll be much happier.

Also don't do it via myspace, or facebook, or whatever the hell else places people have been doing them lately. Really had to be taken serious that way

It's fun. We have been getting a lot of hits! (over 2000 in about 4 months). I've just set up Google AdSense to see if we can turn a few of those hits into a nice, $0.12 cheque Noisography.com if you want to check it out!
