| Bob Hope, Raquel Welch, "Stayin Alive"...did I just dream this?

I have a very vivid recollection of a skit on some late 1970's Bob Hope television special, but using this here interntz I can find absolutely no verification that it ever existed. Am I confabulating this whole thing?
Raquel came out in one of those skimpy Bob Mackie-designed dresses with the plunging cleavage and shredded mini-skirt, and starts singing The Bee Gees' tune "Stayin' Alive". Shortly into the song, Bob Hope comes out wearing a white leisure suit and a black shag wig, doing a stiff old guy version of John Travolta's Saturday Night Fever dance moves.
Typical prime time variety show stupidity, right?
But why can't I find it on YouTube? Or even any reference to it on any website anywhere? It's like it never happened.
Am I crazy? Or did someone else see this episode, back when network television came over the airwaves? Am I just an idiot when it comes to using search engines, or is this really the Holy Grail, a bonafide internet vacuum? |
