Bohemian Cities?

Sign in to disble this ad
I visited Paris last summer and I absolutely loved it. The people had such an appreciation for the arts and I felt like it was a society that valued the same things I did. I loved how the street performers were actually talented (saw a guy playing some mean DB with a small jazz ensemble on a bridge). I also loved the numerous museums and all the shows and such. One of my highlights was the Moulin Rouge, even though I don't remember much of it (all you can drink champagne, haha). Overall, I just liked the way of life there a lot better.

I plan on moving there for a while after I get my masters (hopefully in music business). But even if I don't get to go there, I want to end up where music and the arts are really appreciated. Even if I'm not rich, I want to be in a place where I can love the way of life.

Does anyone know of other cities like Paris that share a similar bohemian lifestyle?

Tokyo. Kyoto. New York. San Francisco. Those are the one's that I've been too that would fit this description. Personally, I was pretty disappointed with Paris though. Just my experience.

San Francisco, New York, NOT LA

Are you talking about American cities or international ones? I hear Brussels is pretty cool.

I'd offer Barcelona and Florence. If you love the arts, they're right up there. Paris is in a league on its own. Great city. There is only one Paris.

Brussels has beautiful parts and very impressive dining.
