Boombox (portable stereo box thing) help

Sign in to disble this ad
My old timer boombox won't play iTunes cds. My son downloaded a few for me to try to play bass along to. They sound like crap. Lot's of staticcy (??) noise. I'm assuming it's because I'm trying to play the cd through my early 90's boombox. Are there boxes out there that still have adjustable freq controls? Not just tone and bass. I'm too far away from my stereo to use it and I like to be able to play cd's through the box.

Yes. There are many options for even cheap Walmart blasters that play multi-formats and some even may or may not have USB inputs. If you try to pick from better names (non-house brands) they should have some kind of EQ-ing options on board.

BTW, can't you play the CD in your 'puter?

My computer is setup far away from where I play. I'd like a box that I could use to adjust the eq, play either right or left speaker and plays cd/mp3/itunes (whatever format that is). Anyone recommend a model?
