Bored of the Rings...now on audiobook!

ever since i was just a smile on my father's face....or at least farther back than i care to remember, i have loved Lord of the Rings. when i was about 18, i came across this parody and i must have read it 20 times.

it is now available as an audiobook, and i just purchased it today. listening now.

anybody else think this is as funny as i do?

if you don't, that's ok....my wife says i have a twisted sense of humor...but, hey, what can i do?.... i like it.

Yep. Finally have them done properly and not those abominations of the ensemble cast. Which I stupidly bought and couldn't listen to much of before I stopped it.

Now they need to get James Michener's novels, unabridged of course, recorded. I'd buy every one they released. I'm an Audible addict. Not sure how many books I have, but it's a lot.

That was a fun book!
My favorite was the Ballhog.

Is it available on 7 inch? Probably short enough to fit :-P

Oh, silly me. I didn't realize that was an actual book. Have to get on Audible and download it, sounds funny.

Was just winding you bud/commenting on the shortness of the book.

Picked up a pocket paperback copy a few years back for £0.50 :hyper:

Great stuff!! Moxie, Pepsi and Spam Gangree...Arrowroot, Son of Arrowshirt...and the wonderfully named Frito and Dildo Bugger.

This was a truly fun read back in the day. :hyper:

I'd like to plug a worthy successor in the book " The Soddit "

Very enjoyable!

Not tolkien but... If you're into parody, how about The Flying Sorcerers for Larry Niven & David (The Trouble with Tribbles) Gerrold. Seriously funny if you're a sci fi fan. Loved most Tolkien and Bored just put me over the top! Freakin' genius!

I'll have a look for the Soddit ...

I must have read that novel 10 times so far. Absolutely hilarious and a truly entertaining story as well.
