Boy, I'm reall starting to hate Facebook!

Lately they seem to be on a kick to try to "improve" things. Instead it's a lot of unnecessary stuff. They had a fairly simple interface, now it's a cluttered jumble. Think I just might give Google + a shot, just to see if they're any better.

I seem to remember this popping up before too, then quickly disappearing.

Ive resolved this problem by refusing to sign myself up for social networking sites, aside from one that isnt very popular. I spend enough time on the computer as it is, trying to make friends online is the last thing I want to do with my free time.

I hate the update too!
How are they qualified to tell me what I find important?

There's nothing wrong with Facebook per se. I like keeping in touch with relatives and friends that I don't see often, as I'm sure the vast majority of FB users do. It's just their constant tinkering with their layout that's pissing people off. Seems like they've never heard of the old saying, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".

I'm on Facebook for academic/professional reasons, mainly. As long as those interests of mine aren't getting hampered, I'm not too worried about the changes.

yeah, I mean my LinkedIn is fattening up lately. I don't really use FB for networking, just casually shouting stupid crap into the void anyway.... and screw Google+.

Being in college I find FB to be a must have in today's society, especially since that is what it was designed for.

Thing is, I'm starting to hate how they have it right now.. it sucks.

I'll be moving to Google+ once more people start using it.

People freak out because it makes using the site confusing. You get used to something one way and then they take away all the logic of the layout. This layout is the worst because it makes NO sense at all. it's more intent on FB showing you what FB wants you to see rather than you having control over that.

Google+ is a much better interface than Facebook, and the changes facebook has been implementing are just tacked on attempts at catching up to G+. The difference is G+ was designed with these ideas in mind, Facebook is trying to implement them into a system that wasn't designed to work in those ways.

Google+ is now open for registration without an invite, give it a try. It's like the new facebook stuff, if the new facebook stuff actually made sense.

also, social networking has nothing to do with "trying to make friends." it's a communication and sharing tool. It's basically like TALKBASS but with people you actually know in real life instead of random people who you just happen to share a trivial interest with.

posting about how you don't use social networking applications on AN INTERNET FORUM is insanely LOL worthy. It's like saying that you don't drive cars while driving around in a model-T.

Do you honestly care what I had to eat, where I was, or what I lifted in my workout, or the anecdote on who I saw on the subway? That's right, you don't.
