"Breaking Vegas" On The History Channel

What a cool show. I saw "The Roulette Assault" last night about Gonzalo Garcia-Pelayo who discovered the tendency of certain numbers to come up more often on a roulette wheel. He crushed the casino in Madrid then went on to Vegas and European casinos.

All the shows in that series are great. My favorite was the guy who worked as a programmer at a slot machine manufacturing company. He programed machines to respond to a unique set of button pushes.

Yeah I really like that show a lot too. My favourite was the guy who past-posted at roulette and that obscene card counter (I think his name was Tommy Carmichael or something like that).

The one I saw about card counting the guy was using a small computer taped to his body and had switches in his shoes to input the values. I think he was caught and had a few fingers broken.

If you guys dig those kind of stories you should read the book about the MIT blackjack team by Ben Mezrich called "Bringing Down the House." They just made that movie based on the book. I have no desire to see the movie though...looks way to Hollywoodized.

I guess that's where they got the idea for that part in Ocean's 13 where you put the certain number of quarters in using a certain sequence or something...my memory is kind of hazy about it now.

Reminds me of that scene from Casino.

Great movie. De Niro is one of my favorite actors of all time.
