Brooklyn TB'ers -- I Need Some Date Ideas

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm a New Yorker. I've lived on Long Island my whole life, so I'm very familiar with Manhattan and Queens, but for some reason I've never spent a whole lot of time in Brooklyn.

To make a long (and awesome) story short, I'll just say this: I have my first date with a beautiful girl on Tuesday. She lives in Bensonhurst and I live about 30 minutes away in Nassau.
We decided to do something in her area for ease of transportation and whatnot.

So the point is: What is there to do in Bensonhurst? She lives about 2 miles from Coney Island. So my first instinct was obviously to go there or the Aquarium.

I have a slight advantage because she's only been in New York for a month or 2, so I don't have worry about going somewhere local and her finding it boring.

But, like I said, I don't know anything about the area. Aside from Coney and the Aquarium, I got nothing.

Help?

Naw, hit the Chip shop...The Park Slope Chipshop I go every time I gig in Brooklyn, it's great, and there's cool shops all around that area, and a GREAT neighborood walk / people-watch / get-to-know each other opportunity. Then hit up the Bell House and see who is playing. Love that room. I love Brooklyn.

The Nathans over there is a new York landmark... great hot dogs right near the beach. Good atmosphere on the boardwalk too. Coney island beach isn't that great, but there's Brighton beach not too far away which is very nice... except for the shooting in June, lol..

This...

Def look into Park Slope... Tons of cafe's, lounges, great places to eat.

This chick sounds like she lives right by me, I'm about half a mile from Coney Island. If it's a nice night, you can always walk by the Brighton Beach boardwalk. I took my girl there on our first date after a Paul McCartney concert.
