With a caffeine content of 37.5mg/100ml, it's no wonder it makes people a bit loopy. I think Red Bull only has 35mg/100ml. I know from mixing vodka and [Tesco's] Diet kick, that these two drugs do not mix well - it appears to give the false sense of sobriety, when in fact you are no where near. This feeling of sobriety seems to lead onto thinking that any ideas one might have are inspired, and probably sane, because you feel sober.

I know my father loves Bucky. He grew up in Dublin. I tried it once. Wasn't a fan.

Yeah it's a shame alright. It's good when you're stuck for money, and it doesn't taste too bad either! But there's also the saying "buckfast gets you ****tfast!" So ehm... yeah.

Still gotta love it though.

Am I the only one who mis-read the title and was expecting a thread about sausages, pancakes and eggs?

As I understand it, the Buckfast that gets sent to Ireland differs slightly in recipe than that consumed in Scotland, ours being a bit sweeter and with more vanilla flavour.

Not sure about loving it...
