I enjoy reading the opinions I vehemently disagree with as much as I like reading about the agreeing vantage points. When it resorts to name calling and immature jabs, I enjoy it even more! | Dork!

Some of my favorites are the ones where the OP is bemoaning the state of mainstream music and half the posters jump his case for saying such terrible things about pop and dance music. I don't step in and take a side, but I wait with anticipation the first post that claims that millions of teenagers can't be wrong, so to speak. Then I nearly erupt with glee when someone draws the conclusion that *insert pop star here* is better than *insert classic rock or country icon here* because of record sales!
Then, BAM! and they're off!
Those debates always make me smile!

Does it block PM's? No intention of ever letting anyone get to me to the extent that I'd ever use it, just curious at to how you'd actually use it. |

Has anyone else? | Never. Ignore lists are for children.

| | Johnny and Joe | | Join Date: Jan 2007 Location: Chicago | | | Yeah, I've used the ignore function. Given how often I'm here, I consider my usage of it to be incredibly rare. There are just a few folks I find inherently unreasonable--it has much less to do with how much I (dis)agree with their opinions than how they express them, though--and TB is more pleasant when I don't read their posts. If someone feels they're tougher or more mature because they don't use the function, good for them.
Only about half my list is there for the above reason, though. The other half of the names are there as a reminder to myself not to do business with them after seeing their take on a few ethical issues in the gear-buying arena.

He just can never be wrong in any thread, even when it's clear to everyone else that he is. I guess I can be that way, myself, but at least I have the common sense to know when to bow out of a thread. This guy just can't quit until he literally has the last word by driving everyone else away. |

I like flicking those little dangly nerve endings. I've never used either function, though.

What if somebody quotes said post? Just wondering, out of curiosity.
Can't say I've used either feature myself.

Can't say I've used either feature myself. | Yes, you see when they post in a thread, but you won't see the content of their post, unless someone quotes it, and then you can see it.
