Sad indeed, the Band of Gypsies album is one of my favorites from that era, and easily my favorite of Jimi's. Buddy was a great player; he definately had soul. May he rest in peace!

Man, what a loss! I saw him in 1968 with the Buddy Miles Express, in the middle slot between Deep Purple and Cream. He put on a helluva show. Loved his Band of Gypsys work, too.
