Burning a Data/mp3 CD

Sign in to disble this ad
I need a little help making an mp3 CD. I'm not talking about regular 80 minute CD's though, it's when you make it as a "Data CD" so I can put tons of entire albums on the disk. I used to make them all the time but I used a different program back then and it was much easier.
I'm trying to do it with Windows Media Player, but it's not the same process that I'm used to. When I add stuff to the list of material to go on the CD, it just jumbles all the songs in together in one giant playlist. How do I separate them into different folders according to album? I'm putting the entire Doors discography on a CD and I'd rather not have to skip through a hundred songs to go from Strange Days to American Prayer.

If you use windows just drag/drop the files into the cd-drive folder and select "writed these files to the CD" or whatever is similar on the commands on the left menu whatzit.

It'll bring up the windows CD wizard and will give you the option of writing the files as data or creating an audio CD. Just keep the check/dot on data and hit next until it burns the CD.

Easiest way IME.

Im still in the process of figuring out how to burn different CDs/DVDs in Ubuntu LOL. Especially AVI->VOB stuff (not to derail this... )
