I heard about this on the radio this morning. What could possibly make that sound like a reasonable thing to do?

I get that the guy is crazy. But there's crazy and there's CRAZY. This guy was beyond the pale. This can't be the first bizarre thing he's done. I want the rest of the story.

That's pretty psychotic like. I wouldn't be suprised if the guy ends up in a secure hospital.

If I read that right (and assuming it is accurate) the victim was stabbed to death and then beheaded. Was he beheaded with a knife? That would seemingly be very messy and take some serious strength (or maniacal persistence).

What a terrible mental image. A disturbing incident, to be sure.

Messy - yes. Not so sure about the serious strength. I saw the video of that Russian soldier being executed by the Chechen rebels in 1999, and it didn't look too tough. That was the worst thing I have ever seen in my entire life.

just think - this guy's probably seriously disturbed (obviously),
yet there are people walking around on this planet that would do that with glee in the name of religion or cause. It's just scary. Humans really suck sometimes.
