How do YOU define business casual? I tend to overdress for stuff like this.
Slacks and a dress shirt at minimum, often with a tie.
What about you?

Now let's try evening resort casual.

I'll polish them, put on my nice jeans and wear a button up shirt (all my shirts are button up though since I don't really believe in band t's) a jacket and a tie. I won't tuck my shirt in.
Then again, thats how I dress most days anyways (minus the polished boots and my one pair of nice jeans... )

business casual always seemed like an excuse for certain men to wear their golf polos.
and IMO, any suit or dress slacks & button down without the tie just looks sloppy and incomplete. is it that hard to put one on? and how does having one off make the work environ suddenly progressive?
and it still amazes me that many guys think all button down shirts can be worn untucked, when in reality, they look like their wearing pajamas.
and yes, i'll never go back to a desk job. NEVER!

Mine aren't nice enough to warrant tucking them in...

Anywho, I don't work in an office (I teach MS), and we have no dress code. For me, khackis with a polo or button down shirt (tucked in) and shoes is "business casual."
But then again, I tend to dress like Kramer from Seinfeld...
