Anyone go without it? My budget got a little tighter and i'm looking to downgrade the cable to basic and keep the internet speed. Anyone have any regrets going without or not too much? I went 18 years without it. Never had it when I lived with my folks and now I can't believe how little there is to watch. |

I don't watch much at all, really. You won't miss it and , even if you do, you'll fill the gap with something else within a week.

It would be nice to have a comedy channel or something, but its very rare that ill watch TV, every now and then something will be on that ill watch, but its normally a movie or something I could rent (or have on video anyway.. I have a habit of doing that).
I'd be lucky to watch an hour of TV a week on average, I used to watch quite a bit, then I found more interesting things to do. I also read a lot.

I had no hd cable in my "home theater" for a few years, which meant I only watched movies and OTA broadcast (mostly sports, PBS) there. I didn't really miss it much, but I like having it now. |

The thing that pushed us over to getting cable was that the local PBS affiliate was going out-of-business so there went my son's shows. He doesn't watch a lot of TV but he must have his Elmo and Superwhy!
