My daughter and I went to the Wild Animal Park today, and saw a helicopter searching around Lake Hodges on our way. I couldn't keep the tears out of my eyes thinking about how terrible this is for her family.

The guy lives 75 miles away, but his parents live about a mile from where Chelsea disappeared. He coincidentally happened to be in town when she disappeared. He's also now a suspect in the disappearance of 15-year-old Amber DuBois who disappeared about a year ago. She lives in the same area of San Diego county. He's also a suspect in an assault on another woman in the same park where Chelsea's car was found.
I'm not saying it's the guy, but there's a circumstantial case building, and physical evidence may seal the deal. The Sheriff doesn't want to screw up this investigation, so he's bound to be very careful in building his case.

As far as the physical evidence, his DNA was found on a pair of her underwear found in the park. |

edit: Not trying to defend the guy here, just pointing out that he has yet to be charged with anything.
Also, I'm amazed at how much coverage this case has received. People go missing all the time, what's so special about this girl?

My wife and I were hiking in Rancho B. yesterday and it was on our minds the entire time. This just upsets me on so many levels. I hope that they have the right guy AND I hope that she's found alive.
