Calling all Pennsyltuckians, Straub beer.

Man I have been a huge Yuengling fan for years and a native of PA just turned me on to Straub beer. Clean, crisp, no weird aftertaste. Just a good clean beer.

I am having him pick me up about a case per month when he goes home to visit now, no preservatives either. Mmmm, good.

Any other Straub fans?

Haha, cannot say that I have, however I am not of age.

I haven't heard the phrase Pennsyltuckians in a long time. It makes me laugh any time I hear it though because it is dead on for this area.

Yeah!
From St.Mary.PA.(I think .Could be wrong)
At least I used to drink it there draft & bottle.
It's been said that they could've been a bigger beer like Yeungling but Mr.Straub only made so much cause he was too busy hunting & fishing.Read that in a beer book 30 years ago but I forget the name of it.Some St mary locals confirmed that.Apparently it was a small brewery that took care of it's employees.Hope Mr.Straub is still with us because you have to respect that attitude. At least the beer is still hangin'.

You don't see it in my part of PA too much but when I go around to the western part of the state I sometimes pick some up.
Great underated beer!

Straub has done business with my company for years! Unfortunately, I can't buy any of their product over here. (Not sure if they distribute outside of PA.) Yes, they are in St Mary's.

Tom Straub is some kind of big wig over there, and he's the guy that keeps everything on the plant floor running. Real nice guy. I think he must have the greatest job in the world. There's a beer tap right in the office. I'm waiting for the day when They need me to go out there and pay them a visit.

Lots of good beers in Pennsylvania besides Straub and Yuengling -- Stoudt's, Victory, Yards, Sly Fox, Troegs, Penn, Weyerbacher, and probably many more than I can't even think of off the top of my head. Pennsylvania is one of the best states for small breweries right behind California.

i love straub! it is by far my favorite beer! just as long as it is nice and fresh. i am guessing i am one of the few folks that orders it in bars around here, and since they don't sell much of it it is on the 'old' end of things. so usually i will order one, check that date on the bottle, and end up with something else. it's only good for about 90 days, after that it is skunk city.

Penn is real bad. Nasty stuff.

Yeungling, Victory, Troegs, and Weyerbacher "Blithering Idiot" is a great beer to drink about 3 of them and get wobbly at 12-13% alcohol. All of the aforementioned are great in my opinion.
