| | | | Caress the body of the car smoothly and sensually. Kiss it lightly around the keyslot. It should open on its own.
Wait, I think I gave you the wrong instructions.

2. crease strap at the halfway point
3. slide middle of strap through rubber weather-stripping (surrounding window)
4. holding both ends of strap, maneuver the formed hoop around lock or door handle and pull said lock, latch, or handle
5. with a little patience the door will open
6. if all else fails, call tow company

Last time I locked my keys in my car I searched endlessly and found about 7 different car keys. Tried them all, and found one that worked.
Otherwise, go the tow company route. Do you have AAA? They'll usually cover the cost. |

It's that or the tow company with a slim jim or an air bag wedge. did the latter with my Jeep, door has never been the same.

Thanks all.

Better a minor inconvenience than fumbling around and potentially damagine the locking / door clasp mechanism (unwittingly) and suddenly having a door fly open or something. Which is why (imo) you break a window, or call a pro...the occasional glass cube is a reminder to not be so stupid in the future.

| | | | This is what I had to do a lot because my buddy used to lock the keys in the car all the time.
Items needed: Wire coat hanger, screwdriver and something to protect the paint.
Pry the door open enough to get the wire coat hanger in - center of the door at the roof works easiest. Maneuver the wire coat hanger to the power lock switch. Hit unlock, open door.
Disclaimer: Do not do this on anybody else's car without their permission and supervision. Police are not that understanding other wise. |

Why don't you just call a locksmith? It will certainly be cheaper than breaking a window or the damage you may do fishing around with a coat hanger.
They've got Pop-A-Lock in LA, right?
