Can anyone help with my PC mouse?

Hi there

I have a Saitek GM-3200 mouse. I have had it for 2 or 3 weeks, and it has been fine. But suddenly over the last couple of days it has started being weird. When I watch DVDs in Windows Media Player, after roughly 10 minutes, the cursor scrolls to the top left corner of the screen. It then reappears a couple of centimetres to the right of the corner, and scrolls left. It does this repeatedly until I unplug it from the USB port and plug it back in again. It is then fine for another 10 minutes or so, ad the same thing happens. I downloaded the latest drivers yesterday, and it didn't happen all day. It then started again this morning.

Does anyone know what is wrong? How can I solve it?

Yeah, just one word - and you've misspelled it.

"Exorcism"

What kind of surface do you have the mouse on? Some desk surfaces don't work well with optical mouse, and will cause the problems you describe. If you don't have a mouse pad, get one, they're only cheap.

It is like fake plastic wood stuff. I'm guessing it could cause problems because it has lots of dips in the surface.

Mouse pad might be useful...

Although I suggest just returning it and getting a new one. Might be a factory defect.
