Cool. Now there will probably be a backlash from those who insist that double blind testing can't uncover the "feel" or "sensitivity" of the instruments.

But amusingly, if the instruments sound similar, there's a reason. The new instruments are designed to sound like the old ones, but the old ones have been modernized as well. Nearly every Strad has undergone upgrades including new necks and of course modern strings.
