Having played amateur hockey (with more than a few women in some of the leagues) I've noticed a certain hockey "mentality" among the participants. It's really rough and coarse with much swilling of beer and belching. The women, too.

The women, too. | i agree, there's a certain culture associated with sports in general. it still doesn't make Canada look good. a public display of drinking (in some cases underage) by an officially sponsored sports team isn't the best image. if it was kept in the locker room nobody would have batted an eye.
