These are real women who know how to celebrate properly.

Congratulations, ladies. And don't listen to the hosers who are complaining about your "antics".

Yeah. I heard Canada had to apologize this. But personally, I'm down.

I did notice something. The Canadian team was far hotter. Sorry just had to say it. But I have no problem with this at all. Apologize...sheesh..

in the grand scheme of things i don't think this is that big of deal, although certainly not tops in sportsmanship. i wonder, what if the American ladies had won and done the same thing?

I would say the same thing, and feel ashamed. Show some class in front of the world. You are representing your country.

Having played amateur hockey (with more than a few women in some of the leagues) I've noticed a certain hockey "mentality" among the participants. It's really rough and coarse with much swilling of beer and belching. The women, too.

i agree, there's a certain culture associated with sports in general. it still doesn't make Canada look good. a public display of drinking (in some cases underage) by an officially sponsored sports team isn't the best image. if it was kept in the locker room nobody would have batted an eye.

Looks like the stands are empty and the arena is cleared.

Either way, that's just kinda hot.

The term is "pantywaists". Also, the reaction is from the IOC, not America. (Sorry to break up the "America's going down the crapper" theme you have going in every post..)

Thanks, not only do I need to learn the correct usage of 'pantywaists', I will admit the need for an attitude adjustment.

Here is Canada, partying on ice happens. Let them have fun.

And if I recall, wasn't the US women's team given a finger wagging for stomping all over a Canadian flag in their locker room at the previous winter olympics? Oh, QQ, like this is worth reporting.

I would have expected them to wait until they where at the bar for such a celebration. I just don't see Beer and cigars along with gold medals on the ice after a game as being in the overall Olympic spirit. Then again, times are a changing
