I'm alright with the cold as long as it isn't windy.

Oh... I've only seen the Finnish temperature scale and various versions of it. Here's one:

The Finnish temperature scale

+15 C
(It hardly ever gets warmer than this in Finland, so this is where we’ll start.)
The Spaniards put on their coats, gloves and woolly hats.
The Finns are sunbathing.

+10 C
The French are trying to turn on the heating.
The Finns are planting flowers in their gardens.

+5 C
Italian cars won’t start.
The Finns are still driving convertibles.

0 C
Distilled water freezes.
The water in the river Vantaanjoki gets a bit thicker.

-5 C
The Californians are shivering.
The Finns are grilling the last sausages before winter.

-10 C
English landowners turn on the heating at last.
The Finns put on their long-sleeved shirts.

-20 C
The Australians are fleeing Mallorca.
The Finns at last stop celebrating the Midsummer since the summer is beginning to turn into autumn.

-30 C
The Greeks die of cold and vanish from the earth.
The Finns begin to dry their clothes indoors.

-40 C
Paris falls apart because of the frost.
The Finns are queueing at the grill kiosk.

-50 C
Polar bears start evacuating the North Pole.
The Finnish army is postponing the “Winter Survival Camp” until it gets cold enough.

-60 C
The fell Korvatunturi freezes. (This is where Santa Claus lives in Lapland.)
The Finns rent a couple of video films.

-70 C
The fake Santa Claus flees the North Pole.
The Finns get frustrated because they can no longer cool their spirits outdoors.
The Finnish army now leaves for the Winter Survival Camp.

-183 C
Finnish cows complain about the cold hands of the milking women.

-273 C
ALL movement in atom level stops.
The Finns start talking like “It feels ****ing cold here, doesn’t it?!”

-300 C
Hell freezes over. Finland wins the Eurovision Song Contest.

----

Well, Hell has probably frozen because we won the Eurovision in 2006...

It's pretty good, and true to a certain degree. I mean, the first day it hit 5C here, I was out in my t shirt with my window down in the car.

That's my favorite myth about Canada--that it's only cold here. Summers here regularly get to 35+, up to 40 with the humidex, sometimes past (although not extremely often where I live).

100+ to you Americans.
