So I'm leaving for Toronto in a couple of days to study jazz; I'm pretty excited about it. However, I only have one concern about going to Canada for the first time...
Are the mixed drinks different?
Seriously, would any given bartender know how to make an Alabama Slammer? Or a Dixie Stinger? Long Island Iced Tea? I know it sounds kinda funny, but I'm dead serious about it. I'd appreciate any insight anyone has to give.
Also, if anyone could reccomend some good nightclubs/lounges, It'd be awesome. |

The only one I'm not familiar with is the Dixie Stinger, but my mixed drink consumption consists only of dark rum and coke. |

I'm like 30 minutes from Toronto, what area are you going to be living in?

Most bartenders will know that.
Also, if you're here on Thursday, goto The Rex. It's "THE" Jazz bar in Toronto. It's Chris Tarry's CD release party. |

With a little luck, I might just run into Geddy Lee somewhere on the street. LOLZZZ |

order it in both English and French.

Alabama Slammer = Alberta Flirter
Long Island Iced Tea = Prince Edward Island Iced Tea
Dixie Stinger = Portage and Main
May I recommend the Hockey Hall of Fame, eh? |

Also, hit up the restaurant "Spring Rolls" on Front street. Just off of Young by the rogers center. You wont regret it.

Mink has a slightly older crowd (mid-20's.)
There's also Inside night club...never been there.
There's a billion pubs and clubs, and there's a bunch clumped together downtown.
