-sleeping pills
-more sleeping pills
-run into a brick wall
-even more sleeping pills

(seriously though, 22 hours of no sleep is NOT healthy at all. Getting off TB is the first step.

second step is sleeping pills)

^no. Don't take sleeping pills right away.

I study neurosciences so I'm not bsing. I suggest reading something heavy could help. Something hard to understand that isn't particularly interesting :P.

sleeping pills don't work on me anyway. as far as reading something boring goes, i don't own anything that wouldn't get me interested in it. i think im just going to have to bite the bullet and pull an all nighter.

you gonna end up with a night full of REM sleep and you'll still be sleepy the next day.

When I have insomnia, it's usually because my mind is buzzing w/ thoughts, excitement, etc... the only thing that works for me is keeping my eyes closed (of course) and visualizing a deep sky blue around me... studying the blue, looking for clouds to pass by. It doesn't take me long to calm my mind and slip away. The color blue is known to be relaxing and is used in many ways to calm people.

Take the day off, your not faking anything, lack of sleep = lack of concentration, explain it to your boss.

if you only knew what it takes for me to get my scheduled days off...last paycheck, i had to work 14 days, 2 of them double shifts when i was only scheduled for 10 days, all singles. only 2 people on staff to cover 224 hours in 2 weeks.

It is what it is, but it isn't your fault, 22+hrs awake is reason enough in my book, but that's just me ; )
