...won't even watch it.

However, I will volunteer to find that @$$hole that fed a psychotropic drug to an animal that probably trusted it's human caretaker to show it kindness and dignity, then beat the absolute **** out of him, whilst it is videotaped and then posted on YouTube for the world to see this sack of crap getting his just desserts.

i'm not a a cat person but doing that to any animal is horrible, i think a bad trip would have been better where the cat mauled the owner

I am the only one who insn't offended by this video?

LSD was discovered in like 56 or something, people didn't really know what was going to happen. Not to mention since this was the 50's they were probably testing plenty of other really dangerous chemicals.

It's not like this test was done today where we know the straight facts about the substance.

No you're not. I'm not offended by it. I understand that it was in the context of an experiment, but I still feel sorry for the cat.

Let's not use a reasonable thought process and common sense now. You need to be more angry and less understanding of things. It's the only way to enjoy life.

It was a goverment test from 1957. I don't think that they had any idea that it would be on the internet (1957: what the hell is an internet?) one day.

But seriously guys, is a cats life worth beating a person for? Yes it's cruel, take the cat away for that reason. But to try and hurt another for it? Send his ass to jail, fine him, make wish he never did it, but don't cause more damage. They would probably just do it to another animal anyways.

I understand that it sucks for the cat, and I would never do that to an animal(cept me maybe) but shouldn't we all be in a uproar about the thousands upon thousands of strays killed to clean up around the olympic area?

(no politics, just complaining about animal cruelty)

My only problem is that we still test drugs on animals today. For all of those saying you feel sorry for the cat you know they still test drugs on animals... its not a good thing is :\

Well yeah I guess, if you can justify the means with the ends, you can get away with anything. Not only is it immortal, (in my opinion), but the facts are, it's pretty inaccurate and obsolete. Honestly, I've seen slaughter house footage, it's pretty bad, but animal testing is horrible, especially when you see cats, dogs, or primates. I feel really bad, and embarrassed of humanity when I see what we do. But yeah I saw the video like a while ago. Don't mean to get preachy.

i'm not for or against anything, and i'm not trying to start anything. i'm just wondering how we should test modern "state of the art" medications to make sure they aren't going to kill everything that takes it?
just a question

Testing advances science. Better to have an animal die than a person. If you aren't willing to push any boundaries, you better get used to sitting around being the same forever.
