Which cell phone to get?

Sign in to disble this ad
My cell broke for the 4th time in a year and a half - I'm getting a new phone.

I don't need something really fancy, yet I don't want something too cheap.

It was Bell, the phone was from Toronto. I had a Favourite 5 plan with free calling anywhere in Canada. They don't have Bell in Thunder Bay, so I have to switch with Rogers or Telus.

Are you looking for a smartphone? If so, I'd recommend the iPhone but it gets quite expensive. Also if you sign a 3 year contract and then break the iPhone, you're going to be out $600-$700 to replace it...so if you're prone to breaking phones, I'd go with a cheaper one.
I can't recommend much for Rogers except that they like to nickel and dime you from what I've heard and seen, but I'm with Koodo who runs under Telus and I've had a great experience so far. People talk about things like text messages not sending or being received, but I've seen that on both ends countless times, so there's really no one carrier that will prevent that.

Motorola Hint QA30. I'm very rough with my phones and it's lasted me a year with no problems.

Depends on where you live. I know Verizon bashes AT&T a lot, but my local reception sucks.
