Cell phones on craigslist and Ebay

So my phone broke once again today. My warranty is up, so I can't get a replacement, and I really don't want to pay $200 for a new phone at the store.

Are the used ones on craigslist and ebay legit? I've never bought a used cell phone before. I use verizon if that means anything.

Please help.

I had good luck in craigslist when I bought a new storm
MAKE SURE THE ESN is CLEAN though or you cant register the PIN to activate

in other words if its hot you wont be able to use it

You might want to have the person meet you at the store when you buy it from Craigslist so you can see if it's legit. It would suck to meet them somewhere, pay them and then take it to get it set up and see that it doesn't work.

I've never had a problem taking in someone's old phone and getting it switched over on Sprint. However, I haven't had any experiences with buying used; I only had them given to me.

I've sold all my old phones on ebay...

If you have Verizon I have a Motorola slvr that was only used a few weeks... PM me..
