Unhappy is this chair ok? (backache content)

Sign in to disble this ad
i got this new chair for my room yesterday. i sit it on it all day playing bass, keyboard, using the computer etc. but ever since i got it last night am getting a certain light backache in my lower back am wondering if its back to seat angle or its shape is not alright.

the thing is the chair's back support goes back if you lean back or push against it but its too tight and i have to push too hard to be really comfortable imo

its still new so i think the shop might take it back and let me exchange it for another one. maybe not anywho i think i need another chair or get used to this. will i get used to this?

have a look see if you can make out if the back is bad or something. i dont want to develop any issues at 19 due to a silly chair!

While it doesn't look like there is much in the way of back support there, so it could be the chair (no way to tighten it up a bit?) most backache problems are caused by poor posture.

There's your problem. It's time to get out and about.

Posture... are you slouching at all, or is your back upright in that chair?

My dad as chronic back pains due to an operation he had for his cancer 10 years ago, strong meds and all. I'll ask him what type of chair he uses at work (sits on it several hours a day). as for what chair he uses in his home office I'll go check what it is and post later on.

I just checked his home office chair and it's a Fineseat ObusForme I think, the one at his office is an expensive Global chair I think.

I'd say stand up when you play the bass. If you spend all day sitting, you need to stretch anyway.

If it's 90 degrees I think it's fine, Just sit straight with full back support that you will the lower back touches the sit-back.

I think.
