Charles Barkely Facing Prosecution Over Gambling Debt

I have heard that he was a big gambler and he admitted to losing $10 million over the years, but possible prosecution over non-payment is a bad sign. I heard him on the Dan Patrick show (ESPN Radio) this morning and he was pretty combative. I hope I'm wrong, but I have a sinking feeling that Chuck may soon be another broke ex-jock.

Jeez. I assumed he still had plenty of money after the losses, but yeah, this doesn't look good. Maybe it was an oversight.

I've watched him several times playing golf on the course right by my home. It's very popular for Pro/Am tournaments and many of the Florida pros call it home. If he was betting, I can understand him being in trouble

He already paid the $400,000. Now he owes the $40,000 court fee.

I'm glad to see he paid up. I hope he is true to his word and takes a year or so break from gambling. As he said, being able to afford to lose money does make it a good idea.

Yep. He is one of the worst golf players I've ever seen. Even the kind Michael Jordon laughs at his golf swing.

Charles jokes all the time about not being dumb enough to bet on himself in golf. He is really bad. His swing looks like a seizure.
